Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential:

Upper ridging will begin to re-establish over the northwest geographic area on Friday. Expect rapid clearing and drying over the weekend, especially west of the Cascades as a thermal trough deepens. Warm and dry easterly winds will return to the west side, primarily on Saturday and continue through  Sunday and possibly Monday before diminishing. Fire danger indices are expected to generally trend downward despite the drier weather.
