Northwest Activity Summary
In the past 24 hours, sunny and hot. Minimal lightning in Northeastern Washington. No precipitation in the region. Light initial attack. Prescribed fire operations (under burning) continues on eastern slopes of the Washington Cascades. Three new large fires: Bybee Creek at 120 acres in Crater Lake NP, Antilon Lake at 600 acres in Northcentral Washington - both in timber, and Morris Lane contained at 2000 acres in grass in Southcentral Washington. No growth on existing large fire (Rattlesnake) in Oregon. 4 fires in Western Washington timber fuels being managed under monitor/confine strategy.
