Northwest Activity Summary
Very warm and dry over the region. No lightning or precipitation. 21 fires reported yesterday with the largest incidents being 600 acres near Wenatchee and 2,000 acres near Yakima.  Increased containment on existing large fires.

Mitchell WA-SES-000179. IMT3. 10mi N of Wenatchee, WA. Start 7/05. Full Suppression.  Cause: Unknown. 600 acres. 8% containment. Brush, grass, and timber. Active fire behavior. Structures threatened. Limited access at north end of the fire. Level 2 evacuations.
WA-WFS-000180. ICT3. 2 mi SE of Yakima, WA. Start 7/05. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 2,000 acres. Light fuels. Irrigated agricultural ground surrounds much of the fire. Structures in the area. Limited information at this time.
Incidents Previously Reported: 2
Silver Dollar WA-SPD-000166. ICT3. 30 mi E of Yakima, WA. Start 7/02. Full Suppression.  Cause: Unknown. 23,350 acres (+0). 85% containment. Brush and grass. Minimal fire behavior. Mop up and demob progressing. The fire is on the Hanford Nuclear site.
Sheep Springs OR-DEF-000341. ICT4. 17 mi. NW of Sisters, OR. Start 6/26. Full Suppression. Cause: Lightning. 696 acres (+0). 65% containment. Timber, heavy dead and down. Minimal fire behavior. Continued mop up operations. Last report on morning briefing unless significant activity occurs.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Hot, dry, unstable, and breezy conditions continue across the region especially along and east of the Cascades. Fuels will continue to cure and help promote fire growth on any existing or new fires. The number of ignitions and large fire potential are expected to increase with the return of lightning into the weekend mostly along and east of the Cascades in Oregon.
