Northwest Fire Potential Summary
A threat of isolated thunderstorms in southern Oregon this evening, with the greatest potential in Klamath and Lake Counties, as a low pressure system moves towards our area. On Wednesday, the threat expands to most of Oregon east of the Cascade crest and possibly in the southern Cascades and Blue Mountains in Washington. Due to the dry fuel conditions, ignition potential is expected to be high. Thursday, gusty winds are expected east of the Cascades as a cold front moves across the region. Initial attack capabilities are expected to be heavily stressed during this period. Warm and dry conditions return Friday with a high probability of offshore winds in Southwest Oregon.
