Chetco Bar Fire Evacuation Area Re‐Entry Plan

Evacuation Area Re-entry Plan: “ADDITIONAL AREA”

Based upon current fire behavior, availability of resources and in coordination with the Chetco Bar Incident Management Team, the Curry County Sheriff’s Office has reduced the area currently under a Level 3 Evacuation to a Level 2 starting at the western checkpoint on North Bank Chetco Road at Da-Tone Rock and east to the North Fork of the Chetco River, (not including the upper portions of Mountain Drive or Coho Drive).

All residences and businesses within the current Evacuation zone described below will be allowed to return.

The area includes residents on the lower portion of Mountain Drive from 17070 – 17106, Mori Lane, Conta Lane, Yellow Brick Road, Tule Road, Wild Black Berry Lane, Blue Jay Road, Pleasant Hill Drive, Coho Drive 16880 – 16986. (See map.)

All residents that live in this geographic area are asked to present their picture identification to Curry County Sheriff’s Office Staff to receive re-entry materials. Residents can pick up the re-entry materials from 12pm to 5pm at Ray’s Market 906 Chetco Ave in Brookings, Oregon.

One re-entry point is established at Da-Tone Rock on North Bank Chetco Road. Residents will present the materials received from the Sheriff’s Office at the established re-entry point.

Residents should remain prepared to evacuate in a moment’s notice in the event the evacuation levels change and residents should not return any large animal’s home at this time.
