Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Several days of cool, wet weather are coming to an end as the upper level weather system migrates east. Any lingering showers for Friday appear to be concentrated over eastern Oregon. Expect clearing and drying to follow as high pressure takes hold during the weekend. Fire danger will gradually begin to recover to normal levels for late September by the middle of next week. General winds will gradually turn easterly as the high pressure sets in. The potential for new large fires in the geographic area is minimal despite the warming and drying pattern.
