Mild temperatures yesterday with gusty winds east of the Cascades. Light scattered precipitation across the region. Light initial attack with the largest fire reported at 43 acres in Northeast Washington. Some growth reported on the Whitehall fire with no growth reported on all other existing large fires. No prescribed burn activity reported with 2 units planning prescribed burns.

High Cascades Complex OR-RSF-000636. IMT2, NW Team 8 (Johnson/Keith). 16 miles N of Prospect, OR. Start 8/13.Full Suppression. Cause: Lightning. 27,460 acres (+0). 35% containment. Timber. Minimal fire behavior. Road, trail, and area closures in place. Includes: Broken Lookout (19,181 acres) and Pup (8,279 acres).

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Today will be cool, breezy and showery. A drier weather pattern is expected the remainder of the week with warm days, chilly nights east of the Cascades and offshore flow west of the Cascades. Next weekend looks to be windy and cooler. Significant fire potential will remain low through this period.
