Continued sunny, warm and dry over the geographic area for the next few days. Scattered thunderstorms are likely over sections of Southern, Central, and Eastern Oregon. General winds are not expected for the majority of the geographic area for the foreseeable future. See your local NWS fire weather planning forecast for weather details in your local area.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Lightning strikes in PSAs NW07, NW12, and NW06 could cause a few starts. Risk of large fires is highest and NW07 and NW12 where lightning will be more widespread. Fire danger indices are now high enough that fire starts from light or moderate amounts of lightning or human sources will challenge initial attack resources.
