Northwest Fire Weather Summary
General winds will be decreasing in the basins east of the Cascades as the weather pattern moderates. This will result in Red Flag Warnings being dropped on the east side. However, dry winds and poor overnight humidity recovery are likely to intensify in southwestern Oregon for the next several nights. The potential for lightning will rise on Sunday over sections of Southern Oregon but details remain sketchy.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Large fire potential drops back to background levels as winds subside on the east side. However, dry weather will continue. Fire danger indices are likely to continue rising in most areas. The next surge in potential for new large fires appears to be on Sunday when lightning will return to sections of Southern Oregon.
