Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A bit cooler for much of the region on Saturday following Friday’s cold front with the lightning threat over Washington ending as the atmosphere stabilizes. Warming will return again on Sunday as higher pressure temporarily recovers with fully sunny skies expected for the region. Expect less wind over the weekend, particularly east of the Cascades with conditions near normal for early July.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
With less general wind, expect lower potential for new fires or growth of existing fires east of the Cascades. Without lightning, risk for new large fires will drop back down to background levels typically observed with only human ignitions at this time of year for all PSAs.
