The atmosphere will stabilize and winds will diminish today as a weather system over the region exits  into Canada. Higher pressure will gradually return during the new week for a warming and drying trend. No critical weather patterns are foreseen for the next several days.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Potential for new large fires and growth rate of existing incidents will drop back to background levels as winds diminish and the atmosphere stabilizes Sunday. Fire danger will gradually begin rising again this week after a temporary lull from the current weather system. Fire danger for most of the geographic area remains well above average. More info, see NW 7-Day Significant Fire Potential Forecast, and National 7-Day Significant Fire Potential Forecast
