Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential:
A thermal trough has built northward along the OR/WA coast resulting on a dry offshore flow that will persist on through the coming weekend. East winds will continue today. However, the proximity of the thermal trough will keep low level instability over Western OR/WA and this combined with the dry offshore flow will keep burning conditions elevated west of the Cascades on into early next week.
