OR: 1 fire for 2,000 acres (OR-BUD)
WA: 0 fires for 0 acres

Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential:
A thermal trough will remain west of the Cascade crest again today with hot, dry and unstable conditions resulting in active burning on ongoing fires west of the Cascades. It should finally move to the eastside overnight tonight with a return to a cooler and moister onshore flow. An upper level low pressure area will be approaching the southern OR coast today and move slowly northward along the coast today and Tuesday. This will likely result in thunderstorms and elevated IA activity over western and central portions of Oregon and Washington. The probability for new large fires will elevated with this system. Another deeper trough will move onshore Wednesday and Thursday but this system should be more moist likely giving us showers along with thundershowers.
