Current Status
The Fire Camp at Flat Creek Work Center has been demobilized. The Middle Fork Ranger District has assumed direct responsibility for the remaining repair work and mop-up and patrol of the Deception Complex.  This will be the final update by the Southern Cascades Type 3 Incident Management Team.
Plans for Today
As the warmer and drier weather continues, a few more smokes are becoming visible.  Fifteen personnel and various equipment will be patrolling, chipping, grading, and conducting repair work today. Two additional engines and a 10-person crew will be added to the mix beginning Monday.
Fire Weather
The Deception Complex will experience another hot day today before slightly cooler weather comes into the area starting Monday.  
 
Today's weather: Sunny with high temperatures of 73-81. Relative humidity could drop to 18% on some southern aspects.  Ridge winds will be 6-10 mph from the northeast early, changing to northwesterly in the afternoon with gusts to 15 mph.
 
Extended forecast, Monday through Wednesday: Partly cloudy each day. Patchy morning fog or low clouds Monday, then areas of morning low clouds Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs 68-78 Monday, 65-75 Tuesday, and 60-70 Wednesday. Relative humidity will gradually climb from 25-40% Monday to 35-50% Wednesday. Ridge-top winds will be from the northwest 6-11 mph each day with afternoon gusts to 20 mph.

Regulated Use, Public Use Restrictions, and Closures
On lands regulated by Oregon Department of Forestry, Regulated Use restrictions are still in effect. ODF regulated use restrictions can be found on the following website:  http://www.oregon.gov/odf/FIRE/Closures/RUSC0214.pdf
 
Public Use Restrictions are no longer in effect on the Willamette National Forest.
 
Area, road and trail closures on National Forest land are still in effect, but have been revised. Forest Roads 2102 and 5840 are now open to the public. The closures can be  viewed on Inciweb or

Containment
Deception Creek Fire is 95% contained. Full containment is expected on October 15.
