Buckskin OR-RSF-000382. IMT2. 10 miles SW of Cave Junction OR. Start 6/11. Full Suppression. Timber. Cause lightning. IMT2 OR Team 3 (Johnson). 5,345 acres (+245). 60% containment. Snags. Isolated short runs. Moderate fire behavior. Madrone and chaparral have been actively burning. Continuing burnout operations. Area closures in effect. Transition back to local unit scheduled for 6/27 at 0600 hrs.
Paradise WA-OLP-000005. NW NIMO (Hahnenberg). 33 mi SE of Forks, WA. Start 6/15. Confine. Timber. 950 acres (+150). 30% containment. Cause lightning. Minimal fire activity with backing, creeping and smoldering.
HWY 97 #1 WA-YAA-000039. ICT4. 6 mi S of Toppenish, WA. Start 6/22. Full Suppression. Grass/Brush. 554 acres. 90% containment. Cause Human. Patrol Status. Final Report unless conditions change.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary:

Hotter and drier conditions are expected for the region on Thursday and will worsen through the weekend. Fire danger indices are expected to climb for the next several days over much of the geographic area. A significant number of new fire starts are expected beginning Friday and lasting through the weekend as lightning and instability move in from the south. Moderate to heavy initial attack activity is forecast first for Oregon and then for Washington along with a number of large fires before this episode is finished.
