Timber and grass. Structures lost and threatened. Evacuation notices in effect. Road and trail closures. Cayuse Mtn. WA-SPA-000024 started as Hart fire WA-NES-000806, which crossed the Spokane River. Acreage increase due to better mapping, not included in large fire growth tally.
Spokane Complex WA-NES-000819. IMT2. NW Team 11 (Rabe). Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 6,132 acres
(+59). 67% contained. Grass and brush. Moderate fire behavior. Structures lost and threatened. Evacuation notices in effect. State Mobilization authorized 8/21.  
Wellesley WA-NES-000807. Start 8/21. 7 miles NE of Spokane, WA. 341 acres (-24). 100% containment. The fire is lined. Mop-up progressing.
Yale WA-NES-000808. Start 8/21. 12 miles S of Spokane, WA. 5,791 acres (+83). 60% containment. Line complete. Some interior burning.
Hart WA-NES-000806. IMT2. NW Team 7 (Knerr). 13 miles N of Davenport, WA. Start 8/21. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 4,920 acres (+720). 36% containment. Grass and timber. Moderate fire behavior with creeping and single tree torching. Structures threatened. Evacuation notices and area and campground closures in effect. State Mobilization authorized 8/21. Cayuse Mtn. WA-SPA-000024 started as Hart fire WA-NES-000806, which crossed the Spokane River.

The fire has burned into the Monument Rock Wilderness. Road, trail and area closures in effect. Some spread south toward containment lines. Continued mop-up and burn out as conditions allow. Evacuation notices in effect.
Cleveland Ridge OR-711S-014617. ICT3. 25 miles N of Medford, OR. Start 8/22. Full Suppression. Cause: Human. 635 acres (+400). 20% containment. Timber. Active fire behavior with uphill runs, group torching and spotting. Extensive mop-up in heavy fuels. Evacuation notices and road closures in effect.
Cherry Road OR-VAD-000164. IMT2. NW Team 8 (Johnson). 7 miles SW of Adrian, OR. Start 8/21. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 35,100 acres (+3,433). 85% containment. Grass and Brush. Minimal fire behavior. Sage grouse habitat threatened.Transition to the local unit scheduled for 8/26 at 0600.
2500 Road OR-553S-1655100617. IMT3. 3 mi NE of Depoe Bay, OR. Start 8/22. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 202 acres (+2). 20% containment. Timber. Direct and indirect line. Moderate fire behavior with creeping and smoldering. No growth expected. Steep terrain. Heavy fuels.
Hot Springs OR-WSA-000067. ICT4. 7 mi N of Warm Springs, OR. Start 8/23. Full Suppression. Cause: Human. 313 acres (+13). 31% containment. Grass and brush. Minimal fire behavior. Mop-up progressing. No growth expected. 
Tule #6 WA-YAA-000147. IMT3. 25 miles SE of Yakima, WA. Start 8/21. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 6,200 acres. (+0) 80% containment. Grass and brush. Minimal fire behavior. Some interior burning. Mop-up ongoing.
Kahlotus WA-WFS-000444. IMT3. 10 miles SW of Washtucna, WA. Start 8/21. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 5,942 acres (+0). 100% containment. All resources released. Last report on morning brief unless significant activity occurs.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Continued warming trend with dry conditions today and tomorrow. Northerly winds on the east side, and a thermal trough on the west side, possibly bringing east winds. A strong cold front is expected to bring gusty west winds Saturday. Fire potential is escalating in most locations across the region, with the Willamette Valley at high risk due to very hot, dry and unstable conditions.
