Northwest Fire Potential Summary
A dry cold front with strong west winds moves over Washington. Today will bring "high risk" large fire potential conditions to Central Oregon and all of Washington east of the Cascades, during the main burning period, due to the combination of high fire danger, very strong winds, and low humidity. With ongoing large incidents and the potential for new ones, today is a critical fire weather day for most of the Region, especially in eastern Washington. After today, fire potential begins to decline as a slow cooling and slight wetting trend develops with thunderstorms possible beginning Tuesday.
