Fall like temperatures over most of the region with warm and dry conditions in the southeast half of Oregon. Light precipitation in northern and western Washington. Lightning in northwest Washington. Very light initial attack. No growth on existing large fire (Rock Creek). Two prescribed fires reported for 56 acres, and multiple units with planned prescribed fires in Oregon and Washington.

Rock Creek WA-OWF-000495. IMT3. 12 miles NW of Naches, WA. Start 9/10. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 1,383 acres (+0). Timber. 90% containment. Minimal fire behavior. Continue to secure line, mop-up and suppression repair. Road and trail closures in effect. Road closures reduced, area closure lifted.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Cool and unsettled over the work week with windy conditions at times. Showery weather Wednesday and Thursday on the east side will provide localized relief to the dry conditions. High pressure returns over the weekend and into next week. Significant fire potential declines through the work week, and starts to slowly rise over the weekend.
