Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Expect gradual warming and continued drying through the weekend with fire danger indices higher than typical. General winds are not a critical factor for large fire potential for the time being. However, instability in the atmosphere late Friday and Saturday will boost the risk of large, costly fires from lightning expected in Eastern Oregon.
