Northwest Activity Summary
Warm and dry yesterday with windy conditions on the east side. Some lightning on the far, east side of the region with light scattered precipitation. Heavy initial attack in Northeast Washington with moderate initial attack across the rest of the region. Three new large fires in Eastern Washington. Minimal growth on existing large fires.

Redford Canyon WA-COA-000053. ICT3. 8 mi SE of Keller, WA. Start 7/15. Full Suppression. Cause: Lightning. 450 acres. 10% containment. Timber and logging slash. Extreme fire behavior, crowning, torching. Limited access. Lookout, commercial timber, cultural and wildlife resources are threatened.
Snake River WA-WFS-001417. IMT3. 8 mi NW of Clarkston, WA. Start 7/15. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 2,500 acres. 0% containment. Brush and tall grass. Active fire behavior with uphill runs. Fire mobilization authorized.

Dry Creek WA-SES-000194. IMT2, NW Team 6 (Sheldon). 6 mi N of Husum, WA. Start 7/08. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 337 acres (+0). 83% containment. Timber. Creeping and smoldering. Mop-up and patrol. Transition to IMT3 planned 7/17.
Buck OR-WWF-000388. ICT5. 16 mi E of Imnaha, OR. Start 7/10. Full Suppression. Cause: Lightning. 1,015 acres (+8). 95% containment. Grass and Brush. Increased activity yesterday. Minimal growth expected. The fire is in the Hell’s Canyon Wilderness area.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Decreasing winds and cooler on Sunday, especially east of the Cascades. Lightning has moved eastward leaving the region in a dry and stable pattern for the next few days. The number of new fire ignitions is expected to fall back to background levels following a surge on Friday and Saturday.
