Northwest Fire Weather Summary
An upper level trough will move through the area today and Thursday bringing breezy to windy conditions east of the Cascades, especially in the Columbia gorge and Kittitas valley this afternoon and evening.  Relative humidity should recover enough before the winds arrive to avoid critical fire weather.  Check your local NWS forecasts for wind details for your area.  The system looks to be fairly dry, but could result in isolated showers, but little chance of wetting rain.  Cooler temperatures will move in with the system and remain seasonal into the weekend.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
With seasonal weather and fire danger indices in the normal range for this time of year, the threat of significant fires remains at or below normal levels.  The 4th of July elevates the risk of human caused ignitions drawing on IA resources in the days surrounding the holiday.
