Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A weakening cold front will push across the region on Friday. This will boost general winds east of the Cascades plus bring a risk of some lightning mainly to Central and Eastern Washington. Decreasing westerly general winds will follow over the weekend with warming and drying. The thunderstorm risk ends over the weekend as well.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Main fire threat appears to be in the traditionally windy spots in central Oregon, Columbia River Gorge, and central Washington in PSAs NW05, NW06, NW10. Risk of large, costly fires is not very high but is elevated above background levels due to wind. Lightning could provide a few starts as well, mainly in central and northeastern Washington.
