Northwest Activity Summary
Seasonal temperatures, light surface winds and partly cloudy skies occurred with some traces of precipitation in Western Washington, Central Washington and Northwest Oregon. A few dry lightning strikes occurred south of Yakima. Minimal fire growth occurred on the Klondike fire. Initial attack activity was light. Widespread prescribed fire activity occurred in the region.

Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A weak frontal system will begin moving onto the Washington coastline on Thursday bringing some light rain. Elsewhere, expect dry conditions with generally light winds. Late Friday, the rain will expand inland and southward to include much of Western Oregon. Drying is beginning on Sunday will last through the new week.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
The potential for new large fires remains minimal. Increased burning activity for ongoing incidents in Southwest Oregon and Northern California is possible next week as drying sets in and gusty easterly winds become likely.
