Northwest Fire Weather Summary
High pressure aloft remains in place, bringing dry weather through the week across the region. Offshore flow is expected again today over and west of the Cascades, but with wind speeds diminishing in comparison to the last couple days. Easterly winds will continue to weaken over the next couple days. Check local NWS fire weather planning forecasts for details in your area.
Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Very low relative humidity and gusty east winds will keep fire danger slightly elevated over PSAs in the Cascades and on the west side but few new ignitions are anticipated. The potential for new large fires is expected to remain low. Units with planned or ongoing prescribed fires should be aware of the potential for gusty east winds.
