Northwest Activity Summary
Precipitation fell across areas west of the Cascades and higher terrain on the east side yesterday, with highest concentrations in Western Washington.  Initial attack remains minimal with no growth on existing large fires. 1,312 acres of prescribed burning was recorded.

Northwest Current Incident Details
Incidents listed below meet large fire criteria and/or incidents with a Type 1 or 2 IMT assigned. Large incidents are defined as fires which are 100+ acres in timber or 300+ acres in grass/brush. Klondike. OR-RSF-000354. IMT2, NW Team 8 (Johnson). 9 mi NW of Selma, OR. Start 7/15. Full Suppression. Cause: Lightning. 175,258 acres (+0). 80% containment. Minimal fire behavior. Timber.  Structures threatened. Evacuation notices. Road, trail and area closures. Suppression repair work ongoing. Transfer of command to ICT4 planned for 11/4.

Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A cool, active weather pattern continues with occasional precipitation and breezy conditions as a series of disturbances traverse the region through the weekend and into next week. Strong winds are likely late this morning and through the afternoon through Cascade gaps and across the Columbia Basin.  Winds will pick up again Sunday, but should be lighter than today.  A few isolated wet thunderstorms are possible in higher terrain today and Sunday.  Current forecast models indicate a break in the rain starting mid-week.  Check your NWS forecasts for details and timing of precipitation and winds in your local area.

Potential for new significant fires will remain minimal across the region.
