Northwest Fire Weather Summary
Cool, moist air over the region driven by upper level offshore low is in place. Widespread showers and isolated to scattered afternoon/evening wet thunderstorms are expected today through the weekend with wetting rains likely for much of the region. Decreased thunderstorm intensity today as compared to yesterday. Gusty winds possible in the vicinity of thunderstorms. The extended outlook calls for a slight warming trend to start early July. Check NWS Fire Weather Planning forecasts for local details.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Fire danger indices are decreasing and will be at or below seasonal normal levels for most of region. This will limit fire behavior potential in the short term. Gusty winds associated with thunderstorms may increase fire activity even in areas that received precipitation. Increasing ignition potential is expected over the next several days due to lighting. However, with wet conditions, many fires may holdover until a warming trend occurs. Particularly on the west side.
