Northwest Activity Summary
Weekend precipitation levels were wetting on the west side of the Cascades, Coastal Ranges, NE Washington, Blue Mountains and the southeastern desert of Oregon. Other areas received light to moderate coverage. Overall conditions were cooler and cloudier with some central and eastern Oregon areas reaching freezing temperatures. Initial attack activity was light.

Northwest Fire Weather Summary
Showers, isolated weak thunderstorms and cool temperatures continue for the region today. Breezy to windy conditions are expected today and tomorrow east of the Cascades. Showers will diminish tomorrow becoming restricted to western Washington and higher elevations in northeastern Washington and northeastern Oregon by Monday afternoon. Another system will move in from the Pacific Tuesday with continuous precipitation in western Washington and northwest Oregon and showers over the east side mountains. Warming and drying is expected mid-week with more precipitation possible heading into next weekend.
Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Potential for significant fires will remain low except in the Columbia Basin on Sunday where gusty west winds will boost the risk of fast moving fires in light fuels. Fire behavior should remain moderated for the next few days due to cooler temperatures and higher humidity’s.
