Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Cool and dry weather is expected on Wednesday and Thursday. General winds will decrease over most areas on Thursday, but then kick up again east of the Washington Cascades as a cold front moves in on Friday. Potential for new large fires with resource draw is low. However, winds kicking up with the cold front on Friday could be a concern for prescribed burning or rangeland wildfires east of the Cascades. Check spot forecasts carefully for wind shifts during and after prescribed burning.
