Northwest Activity Summary
Mild and with showery weather west of the Cascades and north of the Umpqua Divide. Dry weather east of the Cascades with poor humidity recovery in the Okanogan Valley. Light initial attack with a 90 acre fire reported on the Ochoco NF. Around 370 acres of prescribed burning was reported and 6 prescribed burns are planned.

Eagle Creek OR-CGF-000493. IMT3. 2 miles S of Cascade Locks, OR. Start 9/2. Full Suppression. Cause: Human. 48,831 acres (+0). 50% containment. Timber. Minimal fire behavior. Watershed, timberlands, powerline infrastructure, and major transportation corridor threatened. Road, trail, and area closures in place.
Miller Complex OR-RSF-000647. IMT3. 20 miles west of Ashland, OR. Start 8/14. Monitor/Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 38,952 acres (+596) 86% containment. Timber. Active fire behavior. Road, trail and area closures. Includes the Abney (32,100 acres). Remaining fires within complex are contained and/or in monitor status.
High Cascades Complex OR-RSF-000636. Two IMT3(s). 16 miles N of Prospect, OR. Start 8/13Full Suppression. Cause: Lightning. 27,476 acres (+0). 35% containment. Timber. Minimal fire behavior. Road, trail, and area closures in place. Includes: Broken Lookout (19,194 acres) and Pup (8,282 acres). No new information.
Jones OR-WIF-170191. IMT3. 10 miles NE of Lowell, OR. Start 8/10Full Suppression. Cause: Lightning. 10,114 acres (+0). 91% containment. Timber. Minimal fire behavior. Area closures in place. No new information. Last report unless significant activity occurs.
Teanaway River WA-SES-000532. IMT3. 6 miles NE of Cle Elum, WA. Start 10/6. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 341 acres. 100% containment.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Cooler and showery weather can be expected for much of the work week as an area of low pressure settles over the Northwest. Some light to moderate snow is possible in the mountains. A slow warming trend and drier weather will arrive for the weekend and early next week with showery weather looking to return around Tuesday. Significant fire potential remains low through the period.
