Eagle Creek OR-CGF-000493. IMT3. 2 miles S of Cascade Locks, OR. Start 9/2. Full Suppression. Cause: Human. 48,831 acres (+0). 50% containment. Timber. Minimal fire behavior. Watershed, timberlands, power line infrastructure, and major transportation corridor threatened. Road, trail, and area closures in place. Command transferred to local unit. No new information. Northwest Fire Potential Summary
A wetter and very windy weather pattern is expected today as a cold front moves through the region. Unsettled weather will continue Wednesday and Thursday with relatively mild temperatures for this time of season. Precipitation will not arrive in Southern Oregon until around Thursday. A cold front late in the week will cool the region down to more seasonal temperatures with the return of mountain snow.
