Northwest Fire Weather Summary
As a slow moving frontal system moves across the region today, more widespread precipitation and maybe a few isolated thunderstorms east of the Cascades are in store before we transition to a drier spell for much of Easter weekend and the early part of next week. The Columbia Gorge and east side basins will get breezy at times today and through the weekend. Another system should enter the region mid-week, bringing the next round of showers. See NWS forecasts for the latest details on thunderstorms and winds in your area.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Fire danger indices remain too low for threat of significant wildfires. While lightning strikes are possible this afternoon, the abundant moisture both with the storms and already on the ground should keep any resultant ignitions from spreading rapidly.  Units should request and review NWS spot weather forecasts in preparation for prescribed fire operations as wind could be a concern.
