Northwest Fire Weather Summary

Warming and drying will begin or continue over the region today and Friday as an upper level ridge moves in from the west. On Saturday, a Pacific frontal system will bring light rain to western Washington and northwest Oregon. Isolated wet thundershowers may be possible over northeastern Washington on Saturday as that next weather system arrives. General winds will be a bit lighter on Friday and Saturday. Check local forecasts for details in your area.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary

Significant fire potential will remain at or below seasonal normal through the week because of recent moist conditions, but fire danger indices will gradually increase with the onset of warmer, dry weather. Fire behavior will be at normal levels due to good humidity recoveries and higher fuel moistures.
