Northwest Activity Summary
A mostly clear day with average temperatures west of the Cascades and above average temperatures in the deserts and basins on the east side of the Cascades where gusty conditions set in. Northwest Washington had increased cloud cover in the evening. Initial attack activity was light.

Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A cooling and moistening trend is setting into the region beginning today. Clouds with isolated light rain showers are likely today over much of the west side and possibly a few isolated wet thundershowers over northeastern Washington. General winds will continue to be gusty westerly along the east slopes of the Cascades and into central Oregon and central Washington. More showers and wet thundershowers will develop over much of the region on Sunday with additional cooling.
Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Breezy to windy conditions Friday afternoon and again Saturday in central Oregon and central Washington could result in fast moving fires in light fuels. Some wet thundershowers are possible late Saturday and Sunday but plenty of moisture is anticipated with lightning. Fire danger will moderate on Sunday for the next several days due to cooling and moistening.
