Northwest Activity Summary
The cool, cloudy and breezy trend continued over the weekend. Lightning strikes in the Baker area were accompanied by moisture and other areas received isolated strikes. Precipitation was wetting west of the Cascades, in the Blue Mountains, Central and Southern Oregon. Southeastern Oregon received wetting to heavy moisture in some areas while the Columbia Basin only captured trace levels. Prescribed burning and initial attack activity was light.

Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A cold front will move across the Pacific Northwest today and tomorrow with steady precipitation becoming showery behind the front and lingering Tuesday. Isolated thunderstorms could accompany the showers. Breezy winds are expected around the Columbia Basin today. After drier conditions Wednesday, another system will bring more precipitation and breezy winds Thursday into Friday. Models lack consistency beyond the workweek, but it seems a warming and drying trend could start in the coming weekend. See your NWS forecasts for the latest details for your area.
Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Significant fire potential remains at or below normal seasonal levels through the forecast period. The extended presence of cool, moist air will ease fire danger indices through the workweek.
