French Creek Fire Update
Firefighters with the Douglas Forest Protective Association have completed mop up operations on the French Creek Fire and have moved the incident into a patrol status. The final fire size of the French Creek Fire was GPS’d at 495 acres. The change in fire size was due to more accurate mapping rather than additional fire growth. The French Creek Fire ignited late Monday evening and was located approximately one mile northwest of Glide. The cause of the French Creek Fire remains under investigation.
