Bull Complex (formerly Janus Complex) Wildfire
On Saturday, crews continued to make progress on the five fires burning in the Bull Complex. Additional containment lines were constructed to contain the Janus fire, the Ridge fire, and the Kola fire. These fires are growing although their rate of spread is still relatively slow. Progress was made on mopping up the Ogre Creek and Round Lake fires, both of which are nearing containment.
Currently there are 97 fire personnel assigned to the Bull Complex fires.
The work to build containment lines will continue on Sunday. Three fire lookouts in the area will be assessed and structural protection will be put in place should the fires spread in that direction. Crews are also working to remove hazard trees along Forest Roads 6370 and 4696. After several days of cool and moist weather, clear skies are forecasted for Sunday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to increase starting Monday, possibly reaching triple digits by midweek.
Round Lake 1/2 acre
Ogre Creek 1/4 acre
Janus 441 acres
Ridge 1 acre
Kola 7 acres
