Northwest Fire Potential Summary:

A weak upper trough will approach the coast later today. The main effect of this will be to increase onshore flow today and Thursday with cooler marine air west of the Cascades. There will be a chance for some showers in Eastern Oregon as the trough moves eastward on Thursday. Latest weather models appear to be backing off on strong ridge for the weekend and instead want to bring another weather system down from the north which would result in cooler weather and likelihood for showers east of the Cascades.
