9/11/2015 National Creek Fire Update
Today is the hottest day of the week with relative humidity’s dropping to near single digits.
Fire activity may increase due to this warming and drying trend.
Firefighters are continuing to work on securing the fire perimeter west of Bald Crater Loop
trail.
Along the south side of the fire smoke jumpers will continue securing the edge of the fire.
Additionally, helicopter work and ground support will be working together to suppress the fire utilizing MIST tactics.
Smoke can be seen driving into the north entrance of Crater Lake National Park. Drive
cautiously with headlights on in areas of smoke.
