Yesterday: Primary firelines consisting of jeep
trails and two-tracks were identified to hold the fire north of FS Road
1502. Dozers and heavy equipment began to make improvements to those by
clearing overgrown vegetation. Firefighters scouted for effective contingency
lines south of Nile Creek. A Type 2 Incident Management Team arrived on
Forest to relieve local resources.
Today: Dozers and heavy equipment are primarily
focused on northern and eastern operations to maintain and scout for
contingency lines. In the south and west, crews are scouting and preparing
for future suppression operations. Structural assessments are being
conducted in and around private lands within the closure area. The Eastern
Area Silver Incident Management Team assumed command of the incident at
0600 today.
Evacuations: There have been no changes to evacuation

Closures: A temporary area
closure is in place for the fire area and national forest lands adjacent to
it. Forest Service Roads #1500, #1600, #1700, and #1800 are closed.
The closure order also includes all campgrounds within the closure

Smoke Information: The Forest Service works closely
with other federal and state partners to predict and mitigate smoke impacts

Fire Restrictions: Campfire restrictions are in effect.
Campfires are prohibited throughout the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest,
including developed campgrounds and congressionally designated Wilderness.
