Northwest Fire Weather Summary
High pressure gradually builds over the next couple days for a warming and drying trend. No critical weather patterns are expected today, but a slight chance for afternoon/evening thunderstorms returns to southern Oregon Tuesday with better chances across southern and eastern Oregon and eastern Washington developing Wednesday and Thursday.  There is some uncertainty on the timing of the storms, but at the moment, the biggest threat appears to be Wednesday.  Check your NWS forecasts and advisories for the latest details for your area.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Fire danger for most of the geographic area remains well above average, but light general winds and a more stable atmosphere dial back the threat for new significant fires for the next couple days.  With renewed warming and drying, fire danger will gradually rise again this week.  Little precipitation is expected with the potential thunderstorms mid-week, so any lightning should again be quite efficient in starting new fires.
