Fire Weather Summary
A few showers will linger this
morning behind a cold front that crossed the region over night. Cooler
temperatures today east of the Cascades before upper level zonal flow brings
drying and warming for the rest of the work week. By Thursday, high temperatures
will exceed 100 degrees for some locations in Southern and Eastern Oregon and Eastern
Washington. Another upper level trough
should move through the region Friday night and Saturday. If coupled with
monsoonal moisture moving in from the south, the system could bring a chance of
dry thunderstorms to Southern and Eastern Oregon. Check your NWS forecast for
the latest details for your area.

Fire Potential Summary
The risk of new significant fires
remains at or below seasonal normal for the next few days. The fire danger
indices will rise considerably through the week however, as hotter and drier
weather sets into the region. Potential for lightning late in the week after
several hot, dry days could result in high risk of significant fires.
