WEATHER
Hot and dry conditions are expected
to persist today, resulting in active to very active fire behavior. Fire behavior is likely to increase as smoke
clears.
SMOKE
Yesterday's fires produced significant amounts of smoke. Expect longer periods of Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) and Unhealthy on the Air Quality Index (AQI). Also expect brief periods of Very Unhealthy air as thicker concentrations of smoke move around southern Oregon and northern California.
Cleaner air areas will continue to be harder to
find due to the multiple fires across the landscape. Best bets for cleaner air
would be between Gold Beach to Coos Bay and the Roseburg area in Oregon. Some
areas south of Eureka, California will also have cleaner air.

and Klamath National Forests have issued emergency area closures for the
Natchez and Klondike Fires. Be sure to check the Forest websites for
information about current conditions: https://www.fs.usda.gov/ alerts/rogue-siskiyou/alerts- notices and https://www.fs.usda.gov/ alerts/klamath/alerts-notices.

SUGAR PINE
An
Emergency Road and Area Fire Closure has been issued by the Rogue River-Siskiyou
National Forest. All portions of the Forest west of Forest Roads 68 near the
