Yesterday: The
Eastern Area Incident Management Team assumed command of the Windy Pass Fire at
0600 yesterday. Smoke remained visible around Lookout Mountain. Mop-up
operations were priority, along with perimeter monitoring for any hot spots.
Operations Today: The
fire has entered mop-op operations, and crews will continue to monitor the
perimeter for hot spots, completing mop-op where those spots present a threat
to control lines. There is no anticipated change in fire spread.
Weather: A
warming dry weather trend is expected through the week. Winds will be light
from the northwest. No chance of precipitation through the end of the week.
Closures:
The Forest Service has issued Closure Order 06-17-03-21-15 for the Taneum and
Manastash drainages including Forest Roads FSR 3100, 3104, 3111, 3120, 3300,
3330, 3350, 3352, 4100, 4110, and 4510. For further details on roads, trails,

Fire Restrictions: Campfire
restrictions are in effect. Campfires are prohibited throughout the
