Northwest Fire Weather Summary
Showery precipitation continues today but will retreat to higher elevations before ending tonight. Winds will be breezy through Cascade gaps and further east today, but with improved relative humidity as compared to yesterday. High pressure moves over the region tomorrow, for a brief calmer, warmer and drier spell, although western Washington could see rain late in the day as another weather system approaches. That system will boost winds Thursday and bring precipitation focused on western Washington. High pressure will move over the region heading into the weekend for a warming and drying spell.
Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Potential for new significant fires will remain low through the week due to cool, wet conditions. Fire danger indices will raise a bit next weekend with warmer, drier conditions, but no critical fire weather is foreseen.
