6/27/2024 Tucker and Yellow Peak Fires Update

 

*FIRE UPDATES*
Yesterday the SCOFMP area had multiple starts with the largest being the Tucker fire.
🔥 The Tucker Fire is approximately 15 miles south of Paisley, OR between Clover Flat Road and Hwy 31. The fire was reported at approximately 4:46 p.m. The fire is currently 840 acres. Multiple resources worked the fire overnight and made great progress. Please avoid the fire area for public as well as firefighter safety.
🔥 The Yellow Peak is approximately 25 miles southeast of Adel, OR, and 1-2 miles east of Yellow Peak Lookout on the Sheldon National Antelope Refuge in Nevada. The fire was reported yesterday at 11:02 and is still under investigation. The fire is approximately 600 acres and still actively burning on the refuge. Multiple fire resources worked the fire overnight.
Road Closures remain in place at the junctions of county roads 34 and 34a near the entrance of the Little Sheldon Refuge and the junctions of county roads 34a and 8a on the east of the fire area
