Updated Trail and Road Closures in Crater Lake National Park – 2:00pm Saturday August 5, 2017

The following trails and road are closed to entry and use until further notice, due to hazardous conditions created by the Blanket Creek Fire and Spruce Lake Fire:

The Pacific Crest Trail, from the south park boundary to Highway 62, and from the intersection of the Dutton Creek Trail north to the North Entrance Road.

• ·         Union Peak Trail
• ·         Stuart Falls Trail
• ·         Pumice Flat Trail
• ·         Boundary Springs Trail
• ·         Bald Crater Loop Trail (the entire loop)
• ·         Bert Creek Trail
• ·         Discovery Point Trail
• ·         Lightning Springs Trail
• ·         Rim Trail, from Discovery Point to North Junction

In addition, West Rim Drive is closed from Munson Valley Road to North Junction.

The closures will remain in effect until further notice.

These closures are an adjustment from the previous closure notice issued on August 4, 2017, due to the increased fire size, and potential for continued fire growth.
