The Chetco Bar Fire, located in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, remains at 4,341 acres. Acreage is estimated based on observations during a scouting flight.

Lingering smoke from the fire is expected to persist in the vicinity of the fire and river drainages nearest the fire. As the day progresses, smoke is expected to move to south then east and northeast late in the afternoon.
Smoke intensity is expected to be minor and the air quality is expected to be good and moderate today and tomorrow. Smoke drift could impact Grants Pass, Cave Junction, Selma, and Provolt today and tomorrow. Agness has also experienced a late day trend of smoke from the fire due to transport winds moving smoke north.
