Red Apple Road Fire located near Monitor and Wenatchee, WA
The fire was reported just before 7p.m. on Monday, July 13 and as of midday Tuesday was reported at 7,000 acres. Crews worked through Tuesday night and made a lot of progress, but they are still seeing active fire behavior today and with red flag warnings in effect through tomorrow they expect to see additional growth.
State mobilization was activated last night. Today there were approximately 200 personnel assigned to the fire and substantial air resources, including airtankers, Fire Boss scoopers, helicopter, and air attack support. A Type 3 team is en-route and a Type 1 team is mobilizing (California Team 1 – McGowan) and will inbrief on Thursday.
