Current Activity:
Crescent Mountain Fire: Yesterday, crews neared completion of a contingency line up Scaffold Ridge. The fire was active and grew in Reynolds Creek, but helicopter water drops helped to moderate this activity. The night shift ran pumps near structures throughout the Twisp River Valley. Today, crews will reinforce established firelines up Scaffold Ridge and Slate Creek. Firefighters will continue mop-up along War Creek and above Poplar Flat and will run sprinklers in War Creek.

McLeod Fire: Fire activity increased yesterday due to warm and dry conditions and moderate instability in the atmosphere. Today, crews will continue brushing out the Eightmile Road. Dozers and hand crews will work to establish a fireline from Eightmile Road to Goat Creek. They will also continue re-opening dozer and handlines south of the fire that were established during the Diamond Creek Fire. On the northwest side of the fire, hot shots will be constructing firelines near the wilderness boundary.

Doe Fire: As 100% mop-up is achieved on this fire, resources will shift to the McLeod Fire.

Evacuations: A Level 2 evacuation is in effect for the area west of Little Bridge Creek Road. Level 2 means prepare now in the event an evacuation is necessary.  No evacuations are in effect for the McLeod or Doe Fires at this time.
