Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A low pressure center in the upper atmosphere will set up over western Oregon today bringing moisture and instability which will result in a renewed lightning pattern for the next several days. Lightning will be possible over a variety of areas but does not appear as intense as the last few lightning events. General winds remain fairly light for the region but with some exceptions in northeastern Washington.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Fire danger remains high for the region and holdover fires from recent lightning strikes will continue to make themselves known. Fortunately, general winds appear to be not much of a factor for growth of holdover fires in most areas for the time being. New lightning strikes beginning today will pose an increasing risk of new large fires for the first part of the new week. The location and intensity of lightning remains uncertain.
